Women who worked in men’s jobs during World War II, the Rosie the Riveters, were pioneers of the 1940’s as they did jobs never before done by women. These courageous ladies with a "We Can Do It" spirit are being honored at the Glenn L. Martin MD Aviation Museum, located at Martin State Airport in Middle River on Saturday, October 8 from 11am - 1pm. We are in search of Girl Scouts to participate in this free event for serving as Rosie escorts, greeters, readers in the program, award presenting assistance, and musical selections. We are also looking for a troop to serve as honor guard and present the flags and lead the Pledge of Allegiance, a ceremonial part of the program the ladies always enjoy. If you or your troop are interested in participating, please have them contact Debi Wynn (Director of Education, Glenn L. Martin MD Aviation Museum) at GLMMuseumPR@aol.com or at 410-682-6122.
